Time traveling guardian

Orphanage is a place where dream go to die and the feeling of abandonment settles in your mind as time goes by. It more like a prison, school and a job for kids. Kids do simple tedious chores for a minimal pay that could barely cover for gum. Some parents even use the thought of sending their own kids to the orphanage. As warning to keep them in line just like saying boogeyman is real. A military training camp would be more fun than living at the despair inducing place. The headmaster saw the the kids as dollar signs from the government.  The more kids the more money they earn. So it was common to see two kids sharing a twin size bed. The only freedom was how they spend the thirty minute recess in the enclosed wooden privacy fence. Old chalk nubs, oblong shaped baseballs, weathered broken toys and each other. Couples come to the orphanage to adopt to give their kid a brother or sister, Maybe the female was sterile. This brought hope to the little one eyes but disgust to the older kids. This was a once in a blue moon chance and even greater chance in one kid gets pick. Meals consist of can food and prepackaged food for  cheap three time per day. It is just enough to keep them alive. The government could care less as long as the kids were fed, and stay out of trouble, not commenting crimes. Which doesn't happen. Most of the big kids form a pact to take charge and see the little one happy by pickpocketing, stealing, burglary and the more extreme of mugging for money.  The only reason they come back to orphanage is because they have nowhere else to go. It basically comes down to free food and free leaving.
Each kid had a story or reason for being at a orphanage. Either the loving parents died or the parent just couldn't care for them anymore.

Today is the day one kid is making a change for themselves by their only means and choice: running away. No soul Alexander is his name. A terrible nickname given to him by the kids because of the belief that gingers have no soul. In fact he had a kind heart greetings every kid that comes with a false smile. It sort of brought hope the new comers. Alex wears faded clothes that he get for free mainly from a blood drive while also getting free food and drinks too. He buys his pants from a thrift store. Alex special skill was burglary.  Using his respectful and kind nature to gain trust before a theft. A few time a owner's guard canine pokemon would catch him in the heinous act. It was always scary and fun trying to escape the police and pokemon chasing after him. But using this skill he shows that he can't be trusted even by his own peers. He was truly alone.
He goes out during the thirty minute recess with the other kids. The big kids sneak over to a loose board in the fence. The nails that once held it in place were pulled out, popping it out of place. The kids sneak through the gap on by one. The last kid place the board back so no little kids could follow.  Instead of going through the city to basically pillage it, he ran to the forest. Since there wasn't ant money to make in the forest no kid has wonder it. So the dangers and perils were unknown.  Alexander did not care. He was sick of what his life has become the lying, the stealing, and the ridicule.
He focus on his memory on how his life turn sour. Alexander lived on the other side of the city in the downtown district.  Railroads, old factories used for ww2, and small businesses is what downtown was made up of. To alex Railroads were paths or shortcuts, old factories is a concrete and steel playground, and the businesses were too boring to consider anything but. His loving mom was a nursing home nurse and private nurse on weekends. Occasionally she took him to her work to cheer up the elderly as they watch over him as she work. It was fun hear the history on fold as he listen to them. it all ended when a doctor pronounce her with multiple liver diseases years before he was born but stayed strong fighting the forever losing battle. When his mom's days were numbered she left to die in a place where she can be happy; her small home town. She left leaving everything including Alexander wishing that he won't see her final moments.  She didn't want see tears on her son's face. After that moment His father drinks trying to drown out the memory his mind and make the pain in chest go away. He creates a false world in his liquid addiction with no mean to escape. He loss so much friends, pets, his soul mate, and his life. He could not keep up with the turning age which frustrated him feeling left behind. An old relic stuck in his time. During his drunken rant he sent alex to the orphanage hoping to never see him in such a sorry state. Maybe he can find a new mom and dad. That could love him more then they could...
Now he is here running between tree to who knows where. It was good thing he lives in cool warm climate during fall season.  It was typically 80f in the afternoon as if it was spring again. While in other places it would be 50f to 38f. So freezing wasn't a problem but since it is fall there wasn't much food. Predator could be out looking for an easy meal before winter hits. the usual prey would be looking for food or starting to hibernate.
Alex thought were interrupted when the wind was knocked out him. A liepard has just pounce on him. The purple yellow ring spotted feline pokemon sharp claws tear through his shirt. Alex yelled in pain as the claws pierce his skin causing it to bleed. The liepard snarl as it jaw inches closer to his throat.  Alex begs for his life knowing that it was going to break his wind pipe for a silent death. Sudden a roar scares off flying type from their perch. The liepard runs off too, not wanting to deal with another predator. It wasn't worth fighting a predator for prey. Alex gets up and start to run hoping that he won't into another predator.
After 10 minutes of running alex slides down against a tree trying to catch his breath. He wonders if he made the right choice running away was the best choice as he looks at the sky. In his moment he saw a pink orb flying around carefree.  Curious alex follows the orb deeper into the forest. Everywhere the orb went the plants in the area were healthier and stronger. It seem like suicune was affecting plants instead of water. The orb flew around ending at a clean lake. The orb started to change shape while skimming the water. The new shape resemble a pink fairy. Alex recognize the pokemon as the Guardian of the forest and time traveler (shiny) celebi. The celebi dash off and alex chase after it. Maybe the legendary could help. That what legendary pokemon do right?
After no break he finally chased it down to a cave. Alex thought it was weird that celebi would choose to live in a cave instead of living in the forest. Alex shrug his shoulder and looks around inside. Stalagmites and stalactites form by dripping rain water line the mouth of the cave. The entrance was more fitting for a dragon or the cave itself is a terrifying monster. Either way the cave was creepy, dank, and scary. Farther in small crystals cling the walls. Causing a sparkling effect on the walls. This lower the creepy factor. Farther inside was far from being unsuspecting and straight up unusual.  Light come from a hole in the roof shining down on an adult tree. A living growing tree in a cave, how unexpected. "gorgeous, is it?" A female voice said from behind alex suddenly which spooked him. Alex turn around seeing the pink celebi from before. Alex blushed looking away shyly. He didn't know what to say now that he's confronted the legendary.  The celebi giggle seeing him blush before scanning him. Celebi frown seeing dried blood on his (now ironic) shirt and claw marks. "What happen sweety? Don't you know it's dangerous in the forest?" She said it motherly way worried about him. "I uh I had a run in with a um liepard. I wanted to get away" alex said nervously as celebi hover near his scratches. "I bet. They can be scary when they're hungry. " She touch the scratches which stung but soon the pain disappear along with the scratches. "Thanks but I mean get away from my life" celebi tilted her head confused.  "The orphanage is terrible.  The kids talk behind my back. I've done thing that I'm not happy to talk about." Alex said as he starts to cry. "What happen to your parents? " celebi asked picturing his life. "My mom died. She died happy.  My dad's heart snap and he was a emotional wreck. He feared that he couldn't take care of me. So he sent me to the orphanage." Alex cried heavier. Celebi wipe away the tears and hug his neck. "I'm sorry.  I see why you ran away." Alex hug her back happy to share his emotions.  
After they break the hug, alex felt strange all over. Celebi face smile reassure him that everything was fine. The cave seemed get bigger till it became noticeable that everything is getting bigger.  "What going on!?!" Alex said in distress looking at celebi. Celebi giggles "I'm giving you more than a hug" celebi's stomach growled answer why celebi shrunk him. "Wait, you can eat me!!" Alex voice squeak do to the size change. Alex stop shrinking at the height of one inch making celebi 3x his size. "Don't think of it like that. It's hard to explain" Celebi said picking him up by the shirt and dangling him in front of her. "What do you want me to think?! You're going to eat me and your belly with churn me into soup. That's how it works. I'll be a forgotten memory" alex rant turn to an wishful attitude. "Maybe it would be better if I disappear." "Don't think that.  Arceus put you on this planet for a reason.  There allows people who care even if you're a stranger to them." With celebi smiled warmly giving him another hug. Alex smile feeling better and hug her again. Celebi lift him up breaking the hug. "Feel better?" "thanks". celebi open her mouth and calmly lowers him feet first inside. Alex view the tongue wiggle slightly waiting for him. Strings of saliva cling to the roof to the tongue. Celebi laid him on her tongue before closing her mouth. Beside the smell of berries and saliva covering alex. There wasn't much to see. Celebi used her tongue to soak him in the slimy saliva to make him sleek. Alex tried to remain during the whole process hoping that she wouldn't hurt him. Celebi tilted her head swallowing alex. The throat pulsate pushing him down in a tight awkward position. In 5 seconds alex's feet enter a open chamber. Alex slide in with no trouble except the tight space. Alex moved around stretching the wall to make it work for him. "How everything? " celebi rubs her belly smiling. Alex looked around at the warm mucus cover walls and a pool of neutralize acid. Alex would've thought this was gross but there was a 6th sense feeling. The feeling that someone cares, and this was a tight full body hug. "You never told me your name?" Celebi said out of the blue "Oh uh sorry it's Alexander." "Well Alexander what do you feel on the inside?" Celebi said in a motherly voice. "You tried to make me feel better about myself." "Did it work?" "Yeah, thank you. This is a bit unusual but it really works" "I thought it would...plus I was hungry" they both laugh till it died down. "how long can I stay in here?" Alex said rubbing the walls. Celebi murred happily loving the internal belly rub. Celebi hugged her belly "for as long as you want." "Is it cool if I sleep in here?" "Of course you can" "thanks" despite sounding like a broken record alex said it again.
Celebi fly to hollowed out hole in the tree. She heard light snoring coming from her belly. She giggles rubbing her belly one last time before falling asleep.
When alex woke he was back to his regular size completely dry with celebi sleeping on his lap. Alex smiles petting celebi head accidentally waking celebi.  Celebi yawn as she flies up and hover above his head. "So how did you sleep? " "wonderful, how about you?" She giggles rubbing his head "amazing with a full belly" alex laugh getting up and starts to walk to the cave exit. Celebi watching him and tilted her head confused.  "Where are you going?" Alex looked back before turning around "I'm going back to the orphanage" "why?" "Well I have never where else to go." Celebi flies close to him. "Want to come on a journey with me?" "What?" Alex said shocked "through time" celebi finished. "I know journeys are for trainers and what not. But" "yes..." Alex said interrupted "does that mean..." "yes, I'm adopting you. Now where would you like to go?" "Samurai and ninjas are pretty cool." Alex said with a goofy smile as celebi laughs. Celebi hold his hand and they disappear.

Today no soul Alexander became time wanderer alex along with his adopted mom, celebi.
